Senior (2007-08): Named to All-Big 12 Third Team and Big 12 All-Improved Team (media). NABC District 12 Second Team. Started last 35 games of the season and led Jayhawks in rebounding (6.7 rpg). Grabbed 10 or more rebounds in 15 games. Recorded double-digit scoring in 24 games. Set career marks with nine made field goals and 14 attempts vs. Iowa State. Recorded a career-high 25 points at Boston College. Grabbed a career-best 13 rebounds at USC.
Junior (2006-07): Finished third on the team in rebounding (5.1 rpg). Shot a team best .550 from the field. Averaged 15.3 minutes with three starts. Recorded 10 double-figure scoring games and four double-digit rebounding games. Had seven or more rebounds in 11 games. Shot .700 or better in 14 contests. Averaged eight points and was 6-for-6 from the field in final two games of the season against Southern Illinois and UCLA. Had six points, seven rebounds and two blocked shots in OT win over Texas in Big 12 Championship game. Posted first career double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds vs. Oral Roberts. Recorded 13 points and 11 rebounds vs. Dartmouth. Scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds vs. Kansas State.
Sophomore (2005-06): A top reserve with 6.3 points in 15.3 minutes per game. Finished third on team with 4.9 rpg. Scored in double figures nine times, including eight games against Big 12 foes. Led KU with 6.3 rpg in three games during Big 12 Tournament. Grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds vs. Nebraska in Big 12 Championship semifinal. Scored 13 points at Iowa State. Played a season-high 26 minutes and grabbed a team-high nine rebounds at Texas A&M. Scored 13 points against Nebraska. Missed first nine games of season per NCAA compliance rules due to accepting impermissible benefits from a Kansas donor.
Freshman (2004-05): Averaged 2.0 points and 1.7 rebounds as a freshman. Posted eight points in each of the Jayhawks' first two victories. Averaged 6.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and shot .579 (11-of-19) from the field in four KU wins on its British Columbia, Canada, trip in Fall 2004.
Strengths: Runs and jumps extremely well for his size. Can finish around the rim. A hard worker and gritty competitor.
Personal: Mother is Shawn Jackson. Nicknames include Big D and D-Block. Majoring in African American Studies major. Did not start playing basketball until ninth grade.
