THE RESULT
The Bobcats found out first hand why Portland (10-1 at home) posts the NBA's best home record this season as they fell, 112-68, on February 1 at the Rose Garden. The 44-point loss surpassed Charlotte's 120-80 loss on March 2, 2011 in Denver for the worst loss in franchise history and extended its losing streak to 10 games.

TURNING POINTS
Gerald Wallace (nine points) and LaMarcus Aldridge (14 points) combined for 23 first-quarter points as the Blazers took a 35-18 lead heading into the second quarter… Portland kept the pressure on the Bobcats as they pushed the lead up to 98-50 with 10:19 in the fourth quarter.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
The Bobcats struggled inside against the larger Los Angeles lineup, getting outscored, 44-32, in the paint and outrebounded, 47-34… Charlotte shot just 34.8 percent from the field (31 of 89) to the Lakers 55.3 percent (42 of 76) … Los Angeles held a huge advantage at the 3-point, going 12 of 26 from long range, while the Bobcats connected on 2-of-9 treys… Charlotte did handle the ball well with 18 assists, compared to only nine turnovers.

BOBCATS PLAYER OF THE GAME
Despite leaving the game with a hamstring injury, Gerald Henderson was the top performer for the Bobcats. Henderson had 16 points and three rebounds in just over 20 minutes of play.

BOBCATS TOP RESERVE
Derrick Brown scored in double-figures for the sixth time in the last seven games with 12 points to go along with four rebounds.

BLAZERS PLAYER OF THE GAME
Wallace found success against his former team with 23 points to go with five rebounds and three steals.

INSIDE THE LOCKER ROOM
"We have to stay positive and we have to stay up. I told the guys that it’s a rough night tonight, but this one is over and we have to move on. Phoenix, I think, is a game we can win. But we can’t nearly have as many turnovers as we had tonight, and steals. They had 18 steals. It was just a bad game for us. But you have to give them credit. They pressured us, they played good defense. We couldn’t score… they could score. Our inexperience showed tonight."
- Head Coach Paul Silas on what his team can do moving forward

"It's a tough thing. You want to win the games. You go out, you prepare to win the games, and you go out and get beat by however many we got beat. You’re out of the game so early… that’s probably the toughest thing about it. Getting down by 30 points, 25 points in the first half, and not being able to compete to win the game"
- Guard Gerald Henderson on having to play from behind

GAME NOTES
Gerald Henderson left the game in the third quarter with a hamstring injury as he hit the court hard on a drive to the basket… Byron Mullens was the only other Bobcats player to reach double-figures with 10 points… Kemba Walker continues to take care of the ball. After posting just one turnover against the Lakers on Tuesday night, he followed that up with zero against the Trail Blazers… D.J. Augustin (big toe) and Corey Maggette (hamstring) were inactive for the Bobcats once again.
